J ai la même bel air que la derniere photo mais je n ai pas le liseret gris sur les pare-chocs
car je pense qu il ont été repeint .
Il serait intéressant de savoir combien de bel air bi-tons sont encore en circulation. J aimerai bien savoir en tout cas.

Impossible de le savoir ! On ne sait même pas combien il y en eu de produites.

Dommage ! Les seul a savoir c est vw mais on ne le saura jamais

On connait le nombre d'exemplaires que sur très peu de séries spéciales.

Et combien il y en a sur le fofo deja ca on peut le savoir mais est ce utile ????

My french isn't really any good, so I am doing this in English, hoping anyone can help me out.

I have this bi-tone VW Golf MK1 Cabriolet Bel-Air model, blue and silver.


I am doing a restoration project. I have bought the Bel-Air trim strip set. What i don't understand is the blue thin strip on the bumpers. Are they painted? Because the set doesn't contain any blue strip.

Also se attached picture, where does the two silver thin strips go on the car?

your post, and especially your picture of the strip set, suggests that the car is painted in one color and the other color is obtained by stickers.
I'm surprised by this technical choice. But that could explain why repainted cars have no strip on bumpers.

En français: ton message et plus particulièrement ta photo du kit de bandes, suggère que la voiture est painte d'une couleur et que l'autre couleur est obtenue par des autocollants. Je suis surpris par ce choix technique mais ça peut expliquer pourquoi les voitures repaintes n'ont pas la bande sur les pare-chocs

Is the strip set on the picture complete?
If my assumption is correct, what you pointed are strips for upper side of bumpers.

When I bought the set, I thought the set was complete for sure. But after doing som research I have become more uncertain. So I wondered if anyone have the car with the original setup?

What I have done is that I have painted the chassis except i the bumpers in it's main colour, pearl blue, and the bumpers in silver. Now I have mounted the side stickers. See pictures below:

When you say upper side of bumper, where on the upper side do you mean?
